Analog Photography |

A while ago, after publishing the issue of Norden Magazine that focused on Amsterdam’s Fetish Pride, I decided to take a few months off from working on the magazines. It had become too much of a routine, and after four years with a small editorial team, I felt ready for a break. The problem is, I don’t really know how to rest. After half a day of doing nothing, I get so bored that I inevitably start a new project—preferably one that doesn’t involve people dropping by.

So before long, I had started two new projects. The first is finishing a novel I began writing after Nette mensen in een nieuwe tijd was published, but never completed.

The second project is building a website about analog photography. I’m an avid collector of Nikon cameras from the film era, and I love shooting with them—not in a studio, but in the streets and through portraits.

Three days ago, I began building a website dedicated to analog photography: allnikons.com.

I hope to finish the novel around the turn of the year, after which I plan to resume production of the magazines. That’s the goal, at least. It might take a little longer—I like to leave myself some room for uncertainty.
